| There can be few things in life more enjoyable than sitting on your patio, drinking a cold beer - while a robot quietly and efficiently mows your lawn! The Probotics Robomower is just such a robot - wandering around like a giant green beetle! When its batteries are running low - it finds its own way back to its docking station and plugs itself in for recharging! How efficient is that! The docking station is the front half of the unit in our picture. It can be placed anywhere in the garden and the Robomower will find it! "Why doesn't it just wander off?" "How does it know when to turn around?" These were the first questions our children asked. The answers are simple... You lay a wire (supplied) around the edge of your garden (it soon vanishes into the lawn). The Robomower detects the hidden wire and knows when to turn around and head off in a different direction. It can work on pretty much any shaped lawn, it can work in most weathers and if you set it to run at night (it's very quiet) it will deter moles from surfacing on your lawn! Apparently the moles can detect the Robomower's vibration and they don't like it! Call me lazy - but I love it! If they ever teach it to bark - it could become the world's favourite family pet! |
