The Wellington Hotel is THE place to eat, drink and
stay when you visit the gorgeous village of Boscastle.
The Wellington Hotel is one of North Cornwall’s oldest
Coaching Inns, dating back to the 16th Century, and
originally known as “The Bos Castle Hotel”.
Throughout its history The Welly has been host
to VIPs - including King Edward VII, Sir Henry Irving,
Guy Gibson VC, and Thomas Hardy.
Today The Welly is the hub of Boscastle life, providing
a friendly atmosphere, superb food, live music, and a
vast selection of "beverages" for visitors to enjoy.
Rooms here are comfortable, traditional and very
stylish - especially the Guy Gibson Room - named
after the World War II "Dam Busters" hero.
Guy Gibson spoke about the Wellington in his book,
calling it his “favourite hostelry”.
