Westward Ho! was named after a novel by local author Charles Kingsley.
Westward Ho! has a spectacular sandy beach, backed by magnificent dunes (burrows)
and the world-class Royal North Devon Golf Course.
Horses, cattle and sheep still graze on the Burrows as they have for hundreds of years.
One of the easiest sections of the south west coast path runs through Westward Ho!

Westward Ho! is very popular in the summer holiday season - and rightly so!
The beach is huge - with space for everyone to do his/her own thing!
Parking is easy and facilities are good.
Accommodation is plentiful, and there is a good choice of places to eat and drink.

Westward Ho! has everything you would expect in traditional seaside resort.
Amusement arcades, tennis courts, playgrounds, beach shops, snack bars and seaside pubs.
