| Tombstone |

| The story of Wyatt Earp is well known and well documented. Tombstone is a movie "based on" those events. Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) and his brothers are the law in Tombstone. But their authority is challenged by the outlaw Clanton gang, and a gunfight ensues at the OK Corral. Sub plots include Wyatt Earp's retationship with two women, and his friendship with Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer). This is the best of all the Wyatt Earp movies. Kurt Russell looks and acts the part superbly, the script is excellent, the photography is top-notch, and action never lets up. But the movie is dominated by one of the finest portrayals of a western figure ever seen in the movies - Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday. As you watch Kilmer in action, you almost feel sorry for the rest of the cast! All of them are first-rate actors, but Kilmer simply blows them away! Tombstone is a fine movie - and Val Kilmer's performance raises it into a truly great movie. |
