| Located at Gweek, near Helston on the Lizard peninsula, The National Seal Sanctuary Cornwall is a joy. Here you can an amazing selection of seals, sea-lions and other species - up close and personal - and what great characters they are! The sanctuary is also home to penguins and otters. Many of the animals here are recovering from injury before being released back into the wild- the seal sanctuary does excellent work. It has been rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing seals for 50 years. And there are several seals that are permanent residents. Feeding times are fantastic fun, and are accompanied by educational talks from the keepers. The Sanctuary is set in beautiful grounds, with wonderful views - so bring a picnic.
