|Top Ten 10 Beaches in the Bude Cornwall Area
Crooklets is a big, sandy beach at the northern end of Bude town. At low tide you can walk along the sand from
Crooklets to the town's other beach Summerleaze. The surfing here is excellent - but the break can get ragged at
either end of the tide. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards in summer.
Crooklets, along with its pub, is where the local teenagers choose to hang. These youngsters are basically
harmless, but they can be noisy, rowdy and irritating if you are not part of their scene! If you are beyond your
teens, or you have young children, you will probably prefer Summerleaze Beach.
