Exmouth is a traditional seaside resort, with over two miles of golden sands and an nice marina. Exmouth is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, England’s first World Heritage Site. Exmouth has been a popular holiday resort since the 19th century, when the railway arrived. These days Exmouth offers so much to enjoy, and has a wide range of facilities. There are parks and gardens, a vast array of shops, restaurants, and places to stay. But the main attractions is, and always has been, Exmouth Beach. Plenty big enough to accommodate everyone - but with this warning:- Heed the red warning flags – strong currents can make bathing extremely dangerous! The designated swimming areas are perfectly safe - so stick to them! Exmouth is also home to several English Language schools -so there are often students from overseas here - giving the place a nice, cosmopolitan atmosphere. |
