TEIGNMOUTH - A TOWN OF TWO HALVES!

Teignmouth (pronounded "Tin-Mth") is a town of two halves - each with a different character.

The seaward half is traditional English seaside -  with a promenade,
beaches, public gardens, a pier, a theatre, and a model railway.
It also has children's play areas, and a miniature lighthouse.
Visit this part of Teignmouth for a classic seaside family holiday.

The landward or estuary side of the town has a very different personality.
The harbour is the hub of activity here.
Watch the boats from a waterside pub, or take the ferry to Shaldon.

Teignmouth town-  between the coast and the estuary - has everything you could want.
Shops are excellent and plentiful. Cafes, restaurants and pubs abound.

Teignmouth provides attractions and activities for just about everyone!
See our recommended section for suggestions and details.

NEARBY AND WORTH A VISIT...

Shaldon - just across the estuary - can be reached via ferry or via the bridge.
The bridge is a traffic bottleneck, so it makes sense to leave the car in Teignmouth and walk!
Shaldon is very nice indeed! And there are some great places to stay here.
