The Bay Of Islands

A near perfect South-Pacific climate and a spectacular bay dotted with around 150 islands make this one of
New Zealand's most popular tourist attractions. But don't worry about being crowded out!
Even at the height of the holiday season The Bay of Islands is seldom crowded -
at least not by European or North American standards!

The Bay of Islands has a wealth of places to base yourself - including the excellent towns of
Russell, Paihia and Kerikeri.

The Bay of Islands offers an almost endless list of things to do - especially if you love the water!
Sail, snorkel, dive, swim with dolphins, kayak, fish for big game, or take a spectacular boat trip.

The Bay of Islands is THE finest place in the world for water-lovers!
But there is plenty to do on land here too.

A visit to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds is an absolute must.
This is one of New Zealand's most important historic and cultural places.

For golfers - the Treaty Grounds are right next to the fabulous Waitangi Golf Course!

Before leaving the Bay of Islands you should stop off in Kerikeri to buy some Maori art - fantastic!
