Whangarei is also one of New Zealand's most popular harbours where yachts from all around the world arrive from Pacific crossings to re-stock before exploring Northland's breathtaking coastline. Just west of Whangarei you will find the Northland Craft Trust - where you can buy local arts & crafts. And around three miles north of town you will find the Wangarei Falls - one of New Zealand's most picturesque waterfalls. Access to the falls is easy, parking is plentiful. Well worth a visit! |
