The skiing in Mayrhofen takes place on two separate, sunny plateaux - the Penken and the Ahorn.
Both areas are very easily accessed via gondola and cable-car from the village centre.
The village is also connected by a free bus service to the huge Zillertal ski area including Hintertux Glacier.

Apres ski is superb - and includes the fabulous White Lounge - a 6 metre high igloo set 2000m up at the top of the
Ahorn gondola. From outside the igloo bar you can enjoy superb views of the valley, or take a seat in one of the
cosy, candlelit lounges where fur covers the seats and snow carvings adorn the walls.
A welcome drink and a return gondola trip costs approx. €20 - last gondola down at 11.00pm. Don't miss it!
