La Plagne, France, forms part of the Paradiski -
which also includes the resorts of Les Arcs and Peisey Vallandry.
This whole area is a magnificent winter playground, offering one of the largest ski areas in the world.
Snow-boarders and skiers are will find everything they dream of here -
with over 425km of slopes and a variety of snow-parks, snow-boarder crosses and half-pipes.
La Plagne is made up of 6 high altitude resorts located in the Tarentaise area of the Northern Alps:
Aime la Plagne, Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Centre and Plagne 1800.
Plagne Centre is the heart of the resort.
Not the most attractive village - but handy for shops, bars and lower-priced accommodation.
This is where you will find facilities such as cash points, Tourist Office, pharmacy and medical centre.
Accommodation is cheaper in Plagne Centre too, due to its bland appearance - lots of apartment blocks.
The other five villages are far more attractive - but not so convenient.
