Top Ten 10 Beaches in the Bude Area
Crackington Haven
Crackington Haven
Crackington Haven is an absolute joy! The beach is wonderful - especially at low tide. Lifeguards patrol here in summer.
The surfing is superb - Surfboards, bodyboards and wet-suits for hire. There are two beach cafes and the Coombe Barton
pub - right beside the beach.
The pub attracts a mixed crowd of locals and tourists, and is a friendly place to enjoy a pint. Plus there is a large family
room where children can play without irritating the grown-ups in the main bar. The food here is pretty good, but the locals
rarely eat here because prices are too high.

Crackington is a fabulous place for spotting seals on the rocks just offshore, and in early summer the
basking sharks
arrive. These gentle giants eat only plankton - so they are no threat to swimmers, and they have to be seen to be
believed! Can you imagine a fish as big as a bus!
