The Top Ten Isle of Wight Holiday Destinations
Best known as the world's premier yachting centre, Cowes is the Isle of Wight's main port.
Yachtsmen from all over the world come to Cowes to take part in sailing events, especially
Cowes Week,  which is held every year at the beginning of August.

Cowes has more than its fair share of several superb restaurants, and some wonderful shops.
There are also some excellent beaches nearby - my own favourite is Gurnard.

Due to its importance in the yacht-racing world - where there is no shortage of money,
Cowes is more upmarket, exclusive and expensive than the other destination on the island.

Visit Cowes for fine restaurants, bistros, designer shops, and all things nautical -
And perhaps to catch a glimpse of the occasional celebrity!
